My son tells me it’s time to go play a game on the computer so I’ll be brie. Here’s the latest composition which I enjoyed creating immensely. My son tells me it is a mistake to post the song online as anyone who listens to it will die! Whilst this is true I hope it is not the cause of your death. Listen out for the sly reference to one of my favorute books and, in all ikeliness, excessive use of my guitar. Enjoy the summer!

246 – Where Does Time Lead You?
A whimsical title for a whimsical song. I’m all over the place with this one – my brain can’t decide if it should dance or act… Check it out if you’re brave enough…
264 – Artifact
Hello. Normally, I take my time over a track but for this one, I thought I’d serve up a challenge to myself, and just make it during a couple of mornings – before the kids wake up! I tried to contrast a couple of sections. Take a listen (if you dare!). It’s a strange…artifact…
241 – Without The Other
With inspiration from Frank Sinatra’s Love and Marriage comes this collection of sounds. I hesitate to call it a song because it might not be one. If it was classified as a song then it might come in as the antithesis of my goal. Is this the worst song in the world? You decide.
I tried to merge a couple of songs together but rather than the birdsong harmony I’d hoped for it’s turned out a bit of a cacophony. Well, I thought I’d upload it so you can hear the mistakes as well as the successes. At least I’m confident I can’t get much worse than this one? Or can I?! Happy Easter everyone!
220 – Only Light Left
Hello all. I tried a bit of singing on this track. I think I may have overdone repeating the title of the song but I guess that’s what I needed to say. Song takes inspiration from the book Ender’s Game and one of my favorite songs, On Melancholy Hill (check out the high-pitch warble!). I also tried inserting a deliberate mistake – see if you can hear it among the unintentional ones!
216 – Triffid
I tried a bit of vocals on this one, had a bash on a misappropriated Wii drumkit at one point and, in general, just had a great deal of fun making this track. I hope you enjoy it too. I have to give a nod to John Wyndham for inspiration. If you haven’t checked out his writing, go do so at once! (after listening to the collection of sounds below, of course).
214 – Daisy
I tried to build to a little climax at the end, see if you can hear it…
213 – So Real
I experimented with a quick time warp up to get some attention prior to dropping the lyric. Not sure it works but I thought it worth trying. The remainder of the song has a couple of meandering guitars battle it out or are they doing something else? It’s not quite musical but it was fun to make!
208 – Out of Our Minds
I read Ken Robinson‘s book and enjoyed it. I made this song and I enjoyed it. Are the two related? You decide…
203 – Stay The Night
Tried to bring this track to a climax with some improvised drum bashing! Hear what you think below…
