It’s been a couple of months since my last post – time seems to speed up the older I get and it becomes more precious as a consequence. I did manage to grab a few zeptoseconds here and there to create the subject of today’s post, the song, aptly titled, “I’m trying to see round my glasses.” It starts lazily and builds to a more rocky section which, in hindsight, is reminiscent of The Cranberries, “Zombie” chorus. I say reminiscent because the singing is not of quite the same caliber as Dolores O’Riordan.
I’m not good enough to play the drums with the energy I wanted in the chorus so I used some digital tinkering – see if you can hear (/joke!) the bonkers drumming. Oh, another announcement – this is the first time I’ve used my own personal musical instrument in a song – see if you can identify it! TM
